📜 Tournament Rules & Gameplay Overview

✅ Rosters

• Max roster size: 15 players
• All players must be 18+ and listed on the team’s roster before check-in
• Players may only play for one team 

✅ Game Length

• Two 25-minute halves
• 5-minute halftime
• Running clock for entire game
• No timeouts

✅ Officials

• Two referees per game
  
• One positioned on each sideline to ensure full-field coverage

✅ Field Dimensions

• 80 yards long x 40 yards wide (including 10-yard end zones)

✅ Offense

• 4 downs to gain 20 yards for a first down
• Quarterback is allowed to run, even if not rushed
• All players are eligible receivers
• Blocking is allowed – no holding or illegal contact
• 25-second play clock starts once the ball is spotted
• Ball carriers must keep hands above the waist — no stiff arms
• Flag guarding is not allowed
  
• Penalty: 15-yard loss from the spot of the foul

✅ Defense

• Free rush off the line of scrimmage – no 7-yard buffer
• Clean flag pulls only – no grabbing clothing or tackling
• If a ball carrier’s flag falls off incidentally, they must be touched with one hand to be considered down

✅ Scoring

• Touchdown: 6 points
• Extra Point: 1 point (from 5-yard line) or 2 points (from 10-yard line)
• Safety: 2 points

✅ Overtime (Bracket Games Only)

• College-style sudden death rules
  
• Each team starts a possession at the opponent’s 20-yard line
• Game ends when one team scores and the other does not on its matching possession
• No game clock in OT

✅ Penalties

• Flag Guarding: 15-yard penalty from the spot of the foul
• Defensive Holding: 10-yard penalty, no loss of down
• Offensive Holding: 10-yard penalty, loss of down
• Other standard penalties apply (offside, illegal motion, pass interference, etc.)
• Unsportsmanlike Conduct: 15-yard penalty and possible ejection

✅ Uniforms & Equipment

• Teams must wear matching or similar-colored shirts/jerseys
• Each team is required to bring its own flag belts
  
• Flags must be a minimum of the length of a standard U.S. dollar bill (~6 inches)
• Flags must be clearly visible and securely attached
• All teams must use official college-size leather footballs
  
• No composite footballs allowed
• No metal cleats permitted
