The pick six rule: If a player on defense gets an interception and they return the ball back to the opposing 40-yard line or original starting point (WITHOUT BEING TOUCHED BY AN OFFENSIVE PLAYER), defense will be awarded 6 points instead of the normal 2 points for an interception AND THIS IS TREATED AS A TOUCHDOWN. INTERCEPTING TEAM WILL HAVE THE OPTION TO TAKE THE AUTOMATIC 1PT OR GO FOR 2PTS FROM THE 10YD LINE. DEFENSE WILL STAY ON THE FIELD.

If the player gets an interception and does get touched while attempting to run it back, defense will be rewarded 2 points for the interception.

     •     When attempting a two-point conversion and the defender intercepts the ball, you cannot return the interception for 6 points; only get awarded 2 for the interception.

     •     With this new rule, we need to make sure that only one offensive coach can be behind calling the play.
