Time/Format:

• Game Length – 25 minutes

• No Halftime, Running Clock, 1 Timeout Per Game

• 3 games in morning session (Pool Play), followed by single elimination tournament

Playing Area/First Downs:

• Ball starts at 40-yard line going in on middle hash

• 3 downs to get a first down. 4 downs to score inside 10-yard line

• First Downs are at 25-yard line and 10-yard line

Scoring:

• 6 points for TD

• 1 point for conversion from 5-yard line

• 2 point for conversion from 10-yard line

• 3 points for an interception and you get the ball; ball is dead after being caught

• There will be Sudden Death in result of tie; each team will have 2 plays to score from the 10-yard line; if a tie, we will go from the 5-yard line until one team scores and the other doesn’t

Rules and Regulations:

• 1 hand touch and the ball carrier is down

• 30-second play clock once ball is placed at line of scrimmage, Penalty = loss of 5 yards, clock stops until play begins

• Quarterback has 4 seconds to throw the ball before loss of down and ball is placed at line of scrimmage (monitored by USC representative)

• Start of play = QB slaps ball or can snap out of gun from LOS

• No draw/run plays

• All fumbles/loose balls that hit the ground are dead and not playable

• Interference/Holding Penalty on Defense = Ball is placed at next first down line

• Interference/Holding Penalty on Offense = Loss of down and 5 yard loss

• Offside on offense = loss of down

• Offside on defense = gain of 5 yards for offense

• Too many men on field for defense = 5 yard gain for offense (allowed 7)

• Illegal blocking by offense = 5 yards from the spot of foul and loss of down

• Any Tackling/Excessive contact by Defense = Ball is placed at next first down line

• Warning issued to player for any Tackling or related misconduct

• 2^nd violation of Tackling/Excessive Contact by same Defensive player = sit out rest of game

• 3^rd violation of Tackling/Excessive Contact by same Defensive player = player thrown out of tournament

• Offensive coaches okay behind huddle; Defensive coaches on the sidelines

• USC representative has the stopwatch (game time of 25 minutes) and will be official scorekeepers

• Players play, coaches coach, referees ref! No complaining!
