Dusk Till Dawn Rules
Administrative:
1) Athletes must be organic to the organization for the Fall 2023 Season
a. No add on athletes to rosters
b. No dual roster athletes
2) Athletes must have a Active Players Zorts Card in System by deadline annotated in Zorts.
3) 60 minutes prior to each game, teams must report to the Check In Table for certification.
a. All certified players will receive a wrist band. WRIST BANDS MUST REMAIN ON PLAYERS DURING EVENT. This is their proof of certification and complimentary entry into event.
b. Teams MUST arrive in jersey numerical order (as listed on the roster template)
4) Field Marshall – Will be a Dusk Till Dawn staff member
5) Mandatory Play Rule (MPR) – There is no MPR for this event
6) Any player removed from game due to concussion symptoms is automatically ineligible to further participate in the game. ONLY THE DUSK TIL DAWN DOCTOR IS ABLE TO WAIVE ABOVE STATEMENT.
Field Play:
1) NCAA Rules apply for this tournament
2) Football Size:
a. 10U and below – Pee Wee/K2
b. 11U – 12U – Junior
c. 13U & above – Youth
NOTE: You can use a larger ball if desired.
3) Defense Over Center:
a. 8U – 13U – NCAA Rules
4) Kick Offs
a. NCAA Rules
b. 6U/7U – will start at the 35
5) Punts
a. 7U and below – 25 Yard Walk Off
b. 8U and above – NCAA Rules
6) Extra Points:
a. 1 Point – Run
b. 2 Points – Pass
Overtime Rules:
1) Coin Toss will determine who has ball first
2) Each team will have an offensive set of downs
a. Teams will have 4 downs to score a touchdown
b. If you score a touchdown, the opposing team will have an offensive set of downs
c. Team must PASS for extra point
d. This rotation will continue for two iterations. On the 3rd iteration each team will get one play and winner is determine off yardage.
e. Ball is placed on the 10-yard line
Game Times:
1) Per age group –
a. 6U – 20 min running halves
b. 7U-9U = 8 Min QTRS
i. 1st Half – Running Clock
ii. 2nd Half – Regular Clock
c. 10U and above =10 min QTRS
i. 1st Half – Running Clock
ii. 2nd Half – Regular Clock
2) Halftime – 10 mins
Miscellaneous:
1) Home Team is responsible for providing three personnel for chain crew
2) Each Team is responsible for the conduct of their players and fans.
3) Teams must arrive 60 minutes prior to each game.
4) Coaches on Field:
a. 8U and above – All coaches on sideline
5) Field Length - 100 Yards
6) Only Head Coaches can converse with referees during game
7) Coaches Wrist Bands – Six (6) will be given complimentary. Coaches Bands will be given to Org Presidents or Head Coaches at the Front Gate.
8) Water Equipment and water is the responsibility of the organization. Dusk Till Dawn staff will not provide water or water equipment.
9) NO blocking below the waist. This will be penalized as a 15 yd Personal Foul.
